Pigeons

For months now I've been battling against the pigeons who like to perch on our balcony. Whenever I heard them cooing, I would rush to the window and make noise to chase them off. Last week I discovered something special. The pigeons had built a nest behind our air conditioning unit and hatched two baby pigeons. It really is a smart place since the a/c exhaust is warm air. Perfect to keep little babies warm. So thanks, mama pigeon for picking our balcony. I'll leave you alone now.

Final Honeymoon Post - the Wild Animal Park

One of the last places we visited in San Diego was the Safari Park (formerly known as the Wild Animal Park). It was pouring rain when we got up and we seriously considered skipping it. I'm so glad we went because it was a blast. We had to buy pricey ponchos at the gift shop just to try and stay dry. Our rain jackets weren't cutting it. There were puddles everywhere and it was chilly. Guess what? The animals love the rain! So we probably saw more than we would have on a dry sunny day.

Robert sitting in the covered/heated pavilion.
One of my favorite pics - Robert found his own kind!
The happy couple

I am sooooo attractive!!!
One of the few successful pictures we took of holding the camera out. Robert looks happy and not like a psycho killer.
It's a rhino & a gazelle! (We saw lots of animals but I'm not putting all those pics in)
Speaking of rhinos, Robert looks like he's getting gored.
The Thorns
This picture looks fake - but it's totally real! The lioness was very active and we got great shots.
Never fear, there is a big ravine separating Robert and the lioness.
Talk about great timing - I'm pretending to be scared and the lioness is roaring
It was a superb honeymoon. I love San Diego and I love my husband. Who could ask for more?
