Well February was a bit of a stumbling block for me. I continued going to the gym but I haven't been doing my free weights. I also have gotten a little less sleep off and on. This has been a very busy month for both Robert and I so I think that was a big part of it.
I don't look at this as a failure, just a minor setback. I will get back on track and continue my gym efforts and start the free weights. One funny gym story for you - Robert came with me last Monday when we were both off for President's Day. He was so funny! He had to give himself a specific goal for each machine we did (elliptical, recumbent bike, & treadmill) and also had to see how fast he could go. Such a guy!!
I can't believe my 35th birthday is coming up next month. Crazy how time flies!

Next goal - using free weights
Update on my gym goal - I did fairly well. The first week I went 3 times and the second week I made it 2 times. I am mostly enjoying my time at the gym and plan to continue.
My new goal is to add free weights to my program. I bought 3 lb weights at Target and I plan to use them twice a week. I have a really good workout video that has both arm and leg exercises using the weights.
I have to tell you about a funny thing that happened to me at the gym this past Saturday. I was on the recumbent bike and working up a good sweat. The way the exercise area is organized at my gym is weight machines on side and cardio on the other. There are rows of treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, and misc. So I'm on the very back row and the ellipticals are in front of me. A trainer brings a guy around and was showing him the machines and how to use them. The guy was a little chunky - and that really wouldn't matter except. . . .
He bent over to tie his shoe and I got crack flashed. Ew! But it gets worse. This poor guy just needed to pull his pants up a bit. The trainer has him going on the elliptical and then she starts having him squat down at the same time. (She's in front so she can't see this). I got mooned so many times! I started looking ahead and to the left or right - anywhere but at him. There was an older guy next to me and I didn't know if he saw or not. However he finished his workout before me and then went over to the guy and whispered to him and the trainer (obviously that he needed to pull his pants up). The trainer burst out laughing and looks over at me where I smile/grimace and nod. Ah, the joys of the gym.
